Altar Servers

To be an Altar Server is a privilege, for you are assisting Father with the Holy Mass at God’s altar. With such a significant role in the Liturgy, Altar Servers assist the presider at Sunday, weekly or special Masses. Those eligible for this ministry are the youth, grades 5-12. The youth must have completed fourth grade and must have received First Holy Communion. Altar Servers are asked to commit to the ministry by arriving 15 minutes before the scheduled Mass and serving the duration of the Mass, which is generally one hour long. Altar Servers have meetings periodically, as announced through email and the Sunday bulletin. Parish training is provided.
