Baptism
St. Rita’s Church Baptismal Requirements:
- Parents of the child to be baptized must be registered parishioners at St. Rita’s Church*
- We require ONLY 2 Godparents (over the age of 16, have their confirmation and, if married, be married in the Catholic Church. Confirmation & Marriage certificate need to be provided)
- Parents & Godparents must attend 1 session of the Baptismal Preparation Class.
- Fee for baptism is $130 and is due at the time of registration. (This includes the cost of the preparation classes and the baptism)
- A copy of the child’s birth certificate is also due at the time of registration (must be under 7 years old.)
- Baptisms are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month unless otherwise stated.
- Deadline to register is the 15th of the month before each baptism. (ex: if you want to baptize in the month of November, you must come in to register on or before October 15th)
* If parents are not registered, they must at least be living within the Church boundaries. We will require a proof of address.
** If not registered and do not reside within boundaries, they must inquire with the Church they belong to boundary wise.
